Trim the start and end

Select any point and use Cut before / Cut after to drop everything on one side of it. Great for chopping off the walk from the car park or the bit where you forgot to stop your watch.

Crop to a box

Turn on Crop to box and drag a rectangle on the map to keep only what’s inside it — handy for isolating one lap or one section of a longer file. There’s also a one-click Trim idle start/end for GPS that sat still before you got moving.

How to crop and trim a gpx track

  1. Open your GPX file.
  2. Click a point and choose Cut before or Cut after — or use Crop to box and drag a rectangle.
  3. Fine-tune with drag/delete if needed.
  4. Download the cropped GPX.

FAQ

Can I trim just the beginning where my watch was searching for GPS?

Yes — “Trim idle start/end” automatically drops the stationary points at both ends, or use Cut before at the point where you actually started moving.
